The upper portion of this Adidas running show features several layers of material that provide excellent protection, support, and comfort. The abrasion-resistant mesh was implemented in order to provide excellent breathability while not allowing trail debris to penetrate it.
The protection provided by this mesh was second to none and comes in handy on difficult trails. Underneath this mesh is a Gore-Tex membrane providing the shoe with protection from very wet conditions. Finally, an extremely sturdy and well-supported heel cup provides wraparound support and exceptional stability.
High-density foam along the medial side helps to avoid the feeling of collapsing arches common among overpronators. The high-density EVA material is ideal for the needs of a midsole and experienced trail runners state that it provides outstanding cushioning and durability.
To top it all off, a heel insert composed of AdiPrene foam provides additional cushioning and shock absorption. One of the most vital components to a successful trail shoe, or any shoe for that matter, is its outsole. Adidas rises to the challenge by providing an aggressively solid outsole that is composed mostly of their proprietary Traxion rubber. This material is very well known among elite outdoorsmen for the way it provides an excellent grip on the ground beneath it, regardless of weather conditions or temperatures.
Traxion is impervious to harsh weather conditions, because of this, runners found that these shoes did not expand or contract in response to sudden changes in the environment. Runners who are already familiar with Gore-Tex technology know that this breathable lining can provide comfort to footwear without adding weight or excessive insulation.
The breathability contributed by material like this is extremely important for trail runners in particular, as they can be prone to higher foot temperatures due to exertion. Even in dry and arid conditions runners who tried out these Adidas shoes remarked that airflow was never an issue. Adidas pulled off the impressive feat of providing high durability and foot protection at a lightweight while maintaining comfort for the wearer.
This was accomplished through the use of a very solid feeling sole working in tandem with a midsole that features several stability-assisting agents. Through this design style, the Terrex Swift R GTX provides runners with a very comfortable experience even when running on highly technical and uneven terrain.
Those who prefer a more natural look will find their models showcasing rich Amber hues to be a perfect match for a summer hike. On the flip side, those who want to stand out from the crowd will appreciate styles like Unity Orange and Bright Yellow, perfect for making a bold outdoor statement. Just about every piece of this shoe was expertly crafted with durability in mind.
Polyamide protective plates endow trail runners with confidence to go their hardest with the knowledge that their feet are shielded from jagged rocks and other hazards. The waterproof elements provide further resilience from the elements as they effectively stop any rainy weather conditions from affecting the average run.
The most obvious form of protection needed from a trail runner is protection from terrain and road hazards, this is accomplished through the use of resilient material such as Traxion for the rubber outsole. Next is protection from inclement weather conditions, easily handled by the use of waterproof and highly ventilated material for the upper portion of the shoe.
The final form of protection is protection from discomfort due to gait abnormalities or chafing, which was accomplished with the implementation of a naturalistic and shock-absorbing midsole made from a combination of EVA and Adiprene foam. What you can expect from these Adidas trail running shoes is an extremely well-balanced and responsive ride.

Variations Available Color. Select size. A breathable, waterproof membrane keeps your feet dry every step of the way. Having just logged a lot of miles over two weeks of hiking in the Trinity Alps, Lassen and Yosemite, my feet still felt great after wearing these with a heavy pack on for the entire time.
Unless there are heavy snow conditions, I will opt for wearing these shoes over putting on a heavier boot Date published: I wear them everywhere. Black on black looks clean for formal wear. But these are all around awesome outdoor shoes. I mainly use them for disc golf and softball turf and dirt. I think they're a little pricey for me but well worth the money. The grip is unmatched to other shoes on the market.
They are also very comfortable right out of the box. I love the early pull tie laces. I'd rebuy these over and over. Highly recommended. Rated 5 out of 5 by Alan71 from Fantastic shoe This is my 4th pair of this shoe.
Yep I love this shoe. I don't exactly use this shoe for it's intended purpose but considering the work I do I feel they are simply the best shoe.
I am a courier in Seattle WA. I walk a lot. If you are familiar with the current state of downtown Seattle then you know how rough the streets and sidewalks are. Everywhere I go either the streets or sidewalks are torn up from all the construction. Pretty much feels like I'm "hiking" with some of the steep hills here. Running shoes wear out too quickly and simply don't give the rigid support I need.
I fell in love with the quick lace technology and they stay tight through the day with an occasional adjustment.

I am planning to buy some of these the AX2R are a little cheaper but they seem pretty much the same compared to the Swift by looks- are they tech wise identical? I'd also ask if you really want the Mids? I've found that they don't really support your ankles the way they're supposed to. Also, after using a couple of Adidas Terrex Swift R for nearly a thousand miles, I finally gave in and switched to lightweight trail runners for hiking.
Mostly because the Terrex line's toeboxes are super tight and squished. The Adidas Terrex Swifts were bombproof, but I only have one pair of feet and I'd rather spend the money on replacing the Brooks and Altras more frequently than my feet crying out in agony after miles even less if the terrain was really rugged or there were lots of downhill sections. In the shop where i am planning to buy them from - they have Sift with GTX black and the same without the GTX black with blue - but even those without the GTX on the images, have Gore Tex printed on them - that was kinda misleading for me.
I really do want the Mids, it's not that much for the support of the ankle for me, but the overall feel of Mids, just a personal preference i guess.
About the tight toe boxes I don't have any experience with the non-Swift Terrex, so can't really help you there, sorry! I'd probably just try them out.

Designed for cold, wet weather, these hiking boots keep your feet warm and dry on the trail. My experience with Adidas winter boots with "Climaproof" advertised for wet weather use has been disappointing, despite the excellent fit and traction of the boots. Adidas must stop promoting their proprietary "Climaproof" for wet conditions. Gore-tex Surround is the best material for winter boots.
I would be willing to try Adidas Terrex for winter wear only with a truly waterproof material. I don't know why Climaproof is still be promoted at waterproof when Adidas has known for some time that the fabric is a failure in wet, cold conditions. I noticed my friends slipping on icy patches where I had no problem. And they are waterproof so they stay dry in snow and water. They are a little narrower than my other Terrex shoes so my foot was rubbing a little on the side. Also I wish the tongue closed up a little tighter to keep snow out when I post holed and had a little bit more ankle support for carrying a big pack. Other than those things I love these shoes and wish I had them all winter long.
Date published: I purchased them primarily for daily use in the winter and spring I have been tromping through snow, ice, water, and slush.

My feet have been warm and dry as long as you don't go OTB. These lightweight boots are easy to put on, often times I leave them tied and just unhook the top laces to remove them, this makes them easy to just slip on when I'm just running out to the car or something. I don't typically wear hiking boots because I really like to slip my shoes on and off quickly, but these are so easy, lightweight, and comfy that I will likely wear them all year long. Rated 5 out of 5 by Broken Foot from Very Comfortable I bought these as a Christmas present and actually had to wait to open them and wear them, but it was worth the wait.
These are by the most comfortable hiking boots I've ever had. I've worn them to walk around DC to see the lights and monuments, around the firehouse and finally to shovel snow, and these are solid, comfortable and warm. Each field's id has a list of objects with the following properties: The property forecast is a dictionary keyed by each field's id in the source.
Each field's id has a list of objects with the following properties: In addition to the ETS models, BigML also provides simple forecast models for each field, to be used as references for the performance of the ETS models. Due to their trivial nature, these are always computed regardless of what ETS parameters are selected in the input.
Currently, we offer three simple model types: naive, mean, and drift. Naive: this model always forecasts the last value of the observed time series. For seasonal models, it repeats the last m values of the training series, where "m" is the given period length for the field. The parameters for this field are as follows: Mean: this model always forecasts the mean of the objective field.
For seasonal models, it is similar to the naive model since the model cycles the same sequence of values for forecasts, but instead of using the last set of m values, BigML computes the mean sequence of the naive values. The parameters for this field are as follows: Drift: Draws a straight line between the first and last values of the training series.
Forecasts are performed by extending that line.
The parameters for this field are as follows: Creating a time series is a process that can take just a few seconds or a few days depending on the size of the dataset used as input and on the workload of BigML's systems. The time series goes through a number of states until its fully completed. Through the status field in the time series you can determine when time series has been fully processed and ready to be used to create forecasts.
Thus when retrieving a timeseries, it's possible to specify that only a subset of fields be retrieved, by using any combination of the following parameters in the query string (unrecognized parameters are ignored): Fields Filter Parameters Parameter TypeDescription fields optional Comma-separated list A comma-separated list of field IDs to retrieve. To update a time series, you need to PUT an object containing the fields that you want to update to the time series' base URL.
Once you delete a time series, it is permanently deleted. If you try to delete a time series a second time, or a time series that does not exist, you will receive a "404 not found" response. However, if you try to delete a time series that is being used at the moment, then BigML. To list all the time series, you can use the timeseries base URL. By default, only the 20 most recent time series will be returned.
You can get your list of time series directly in your browser using your own username and API key with the following links. You can also paginate, filter, and order your time series.
Deepnets Last Updated: Monday, 2017-10-30 10:31 A deepnet in BigML is a supervised learning method to solve classification and regression problems. Deepnets are an optimized version of Deep Neural Networks, a class of machine-learned models inspired by the neural circuitry of the human brain.
In these classifiers, the input features are fed to a group of nodes called a layer. Then the entire layer transforms an input vector into a new intermediate feature vector. This new vector is fed as input to another layer of nodes.
This process continues layer by layer, until we reach the final output layer of nodes, where the output is the network's prediction: an array of per-class probabilities for classification problems or a single, real value for regression problems. The network architectures supported by BigML can be deep or shallow. The advantage of training deep architectures is that hidden layers have the opportunity to learn higher-level representations of the data that can be used to make correct predictions in cases where a direct mapping between input and output is difficult.
For example, when classifying images of numeric digits, the input layer is raw pixels, the output layer is the probability for each digit, and the intermediate layers may learn features that represent the presence of, say, a loop or a vertical stroke.
Deep Neural Networks are notoriously sensitive to the chosen topology and the algorithm used to optimize the parameters thereof. This sensitivity means that hand-tuning the topology and optimization algorithm can be difficult and time-consuming as the number of choices that lead to poor networks typically vastly outnumber the choices that lead to good ones. To combat this problem, BigML offers first class support for automatic network topology search and parameter optimization.
The algorithm BigML uses is a variant on the hyperband algorithm. Instead of selecting candidates for evaluation at random, however, we use an acquisition technique based on techniques from Bayesian parameter optimization.
You can also list all of your deepnets. This argument can be used to change the names of the fields in the models of the deepnet with respect to the original names in the dataset. The winner is the constructor of the first car to retire.
Each driver's handicap is applied to their race time. The driver with the best race time after applying the handicap is considered the winner of this market. Race Leader must complete 40 laps for bets to stand. Bets stand irrespective of individual withdrawals. Any driver who does not finish the race or whose official classification is 1 lap or greater behind the winner will be deemed a loser.
Bets are settled on the first completed lap of the original race start. Any official restarts are disregarded, unless in the original race the first lap is not completed fully. In this case bets will be settled on the first fully completed lap. In the event of one lap not being fully completed all bets will be void. Any driver who is deemed to have completed no laps on the official FIA Race Classification will be deemed winners.
If a driver is not in position to start the formation lap bets involving that driver are void. In the event of the specified number of laps not being fully completed all bets will be void.
Select a driver's position at the end of the first fully completed lap of a named Grand Prix. Settlement will be based on the position recorded by the official FIA result. The named driver must start the race for bets to stand. The result will be determined by the number of points accumulated for a specified race by the two named constructors after the handicap has been applied.
